Mauldin vs Boiling Springs

Getting the start for Mauldin was #10 La’Daisa Johnson, #11 Caitland Considine, #15 Walisha Brown, #21 Makayla Green, and #24 Dah’Vielle Lucas. Unfortunately, the Lady Bulldogs has a lull in the action at the start. They did not score any points the first quarter. #10 La’Daisa Johnson scored a 3-pointer and a basket and stole the ball. #11 Caitland Considine score a pair of 3-pointers and had a rebound. #15 Walisha Brown had a rebound. #21 Makayla Green scored a basket and a rebound. #24 Dah’Vielle Lucas scored from the foul line and got a pair of rebounds. #12 Khalia Shaw scored a basket. #14 Marshaye Leake also scored a basket. #20 Antonia Thomas had a rebound, and scored a point from the foul line. #13 Alexis Williams got a rebound.  Overall, the Lady Mavs were hustling, rebounding, making good passes and taking their shots. The foul shooting was not so good though. The score at the end of the quarter was 21 Mavericks, 0 Bull Dogs.

The second quarter saw the Bull Dogs come alive. The Lady Mavericks lost their momentum and started to make mistakes. #11 Caitland Considine had a pair of assists. #24 Dah’Vielle Lucas scored a pair of baskets, was fouled shooting a couple times but missed her foul shots. She had a rebound. #12 Khalia Shaw stole the ball and scored a basket. Overall, it was a messy quarter of play. The quarter ended with a score of 29 for the Mavericks and 20 for the Bull Dogs.

Mauldin came back strong after the half. Outscoring Boiling Springs 17 to 10. #10 La’Daisa Johnson had an assist. #15 Walisha Brown, who may be the shortest lady on the team, pulled in a pair of rebounds. She is always hustling and trying to be first to the ball. (Love that!) #21 Makayla Green had a rebound, two points from the line out of 4 and a basket. #24 Dah’Vielle Lucas had 4 rebounds and 6 points, two points out of 2 from the line. #11 Caitland Considine scored 3 baskets and an extra point from the line. At the end of the 3rd quarter, Mauldin had 46 and BSHS had 30.

The last quarter Mauldin outscored the Lady Bulldogs again, 12 to 7. The starters were not in for long allowing the rest of the time some valuable court time. #11 Caitland Considine scored a basket and an assist. #21 Makayla Green scored 2 baskets 2 out of 4 from the line, and had a rebound. #24 Dah’Vielle Lucas had a rebound and an assist. #12 Khalia Shaw scored a basket. #33 Abigail Hurwitz scored a baskiet and had a pair of rebounds. The final score was 58 to 37 for Mauldin.
