Ansley Speaks Wins Wendy's Heisman


Congratulations to Mauldin High Seniors Ansley Speaks and Noah LaBelle! They were named the 2012 Wendy's High School Heisman Award winners for Mauldin High School! Mauldin High History about the Wendy's Heisman

Ansley is the 1st Mauldin Tennis athlete to win the award since records were available online in 2000. Noah continues the tradition. A Cross Country athlete has won the award at Mauldin 4 out of the past 5 years. 

Ansley Speaks is an AP Scholar with Honor, on the All A Honor Role, a Junior Marshal, Palmetto Fellow Recipient, Member of NHS. Ansley is also a 3 time State singles tournament champion, 2 time team state champion, 3 times All State, 6 time Upper State champs, 6 time All Region, 2 time MVP, 1 time Captain, Most wins in Region II AAAA, One of only seven girls to win state singles state championship for 3 consecutive years, Played #1 on Mauldin Varsity since 7th grade, 3 time AAAA Player of the Year.

In addition Ansley was a member of Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). 

Noah LaBelle is involved in FCA Worship Leader, BETA Club, Spanish National Honor Society, Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT), Change Attitudes Now (CAN) Club, Young Life Club, National Honor Society, Outstanding Statesmen of the Year- YIG Model Legislature, Volunteered in Church Youth Worship Band, Awanita Church Camp Volunteer Counselor, Brookwood Church Adventure Week VBS Volunteer, Service Learning Student, Greenville County Big Brother of The Year, Wayfarer Church Camp Volunteer Counselor, Mission Trip to Amazon Basin, Peru.

In addition Noah was 3 Year Varsity Letter Winner in Track (Captain in ’12), School Record in 60m Hurdles, 4x110h Relay, Sprint Medley Relay, and Distance Medley Relay, Varsity Letter Winner in Football, Member of World Record Setting 100x5k Relay Team, Varsity Letter Winner in Cross Country,  All-County Cross Country, All-Region Cross Country, Team Leader on Region Champion Cross Country Team. Noah is also on the All A Honor Roll and an AP Scholar.
