Mavs victorious over Eastside & Greenville

The Girls' team proved victorious not once, but twice over Eastside and Greenville in the swim meet at Stonelake Pool on September 13th.  Lady Mavs Senior, Danielle Galyer, won the 100 back with an automatic time and came in 2nd the 200 I.M. with another state cut.  Freshmen, MaKayla Brooks and Savannah Gaido, came in first in the 200 I.M. and the 100 Free respectively, both with automatic times.  Gaido added another qualifying time for the Mavs in the 200 Free with a second place finish.  Three other Mavs achieved consideration times in the 200 Free;  Celine Crum, Broooke Williams, and Lauren Price finished 4th, 5th, and 6th.  In the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly, Laura Tanzey swam to a second place finishes with a consideration times in both.  Swimming consideration times in the 100 Free, Williams and Crum finished 2nd and 4th respectively.  Eighth grader, Emma Knapp achieved her state cut in the 500 Free scoring a 2nd place finish for the Lady Mavs.  Brooks added one more automatic time for the team in the 100 Back with a 2nd place swim.  The relays really scored big for the girls with 1st and 3rd place finishes in the 200 Medley and the 400 Free Relays, and a win in the 200 Free Relay.  Way to go Lady Mavs !!
