Mauldin Out-Swims Boiling Springs

The girls' team had some great swims and won all three relays beating Boiling Springs 200 to 85 in Mauldin's first meet at their home pool.  The 200 Medley Relay team of Danielle Galyer, Savannah Gaido, MaKayla Brooks, and Brooke Williams swam a state qualifying time as did the 200 Free Relay team of Galyer, Emma Knapp, Lauren Price, and Brooks.  The 400 Free Relay team of Knapp, Williams, Price, and Gaido also got a state cut.  Emma Knapp finished first in both of her individual events, achieving an automatic time in the 200 Free and a consideration time in the 100 Back.  The Mavs took the top 3 places in the 200 Free, with Sally Sims and Lizzie Burnett coming in 2nd and 3rd.  In the 200 I.M., the Lady Mavs took the top 4 places - Price was first with a state cut; the next three: Celine Crum, Laura Tanzey, and Katie Mooney all got consideration times.  Savannah Gaido finished first in the 50 Free and the 500 Free with state qualifyig times in both events.  Coming in 4th in the 50 Free, Rachel Paul got a consideration time.  Brooks and Galyer finished 1st and 2nd in the 100 Butterfly, both achieving state cuts. The Lady Mavs dominated the 100 Free event with Brooks taking 1st and getting an automatic time; Price, Burnett, and Mooney all got consideration times and finished 2nd, 3rd, and 5th.  The 100 Back was won by Knapp, with Tanzey(consideration) and Williams taking 2nd and 3rd.  Three more consideration times were added to the girls' team in the 100 Breaststroke by Galyer, Crum, and Sims, finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.  Way to go girls !
