Mauldin Out-Swims Boiling Springs

The boys' team had some great swims at their first meet at their home pool on September 5th.  The Medley Relay team consisting of Connor Clayton, Trey Cottrell, Pearson Mann and Trey Wall got the boys off to a great start with a win and a state qualifying time.  In the 200 Freestyle event, Camden Spees, Dylan Ogle, and Eric Singleton all got consideration times and finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively.  Pearson Mann won the 200 I.M. with a state qualifying time, followed by Jackson Gaido, who also achieved a state qualifying time.  Finishing with consideration times in the same event were Keegan Neale and Trey Cottrell.  Connor Clayton and Kyle Grogan finished with consideration times in the 50 Free.  Camden Spees came in first in the 100 Butterfly with a consideration time, and Trey Cottrell scored points for the team with a 3rd place finish.  In the 100 Freestyle event, Keegan Neale got a state qualifying time and a win for the Mavs; Jackson Gaido finished 3rd with a consideration time.  Connor Clayton gave the boys' team a second place finish and a consideration time in the 500 Free.  The Boys swept the 200 Free Relay with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes.  The "A" relay of Mann, Trey Cottrell, Gaido, and Singleton swam a state qualifying time and the "B" relay of Neale, Spees, Minton, and Wall swam a consideration time.  The "C" relay of Lucero, Rizzo, Thomas Cottrell, and Benton beat out Boiling Springs by .28!  Dylan Ogle finished 2nd in the 100 Back with a consideration time.  Mann got another win and automatic time for the Mavs in the 100 Breastroke.  The boys' team finished out the meet with two consideration times and 2nd an d3rd place finishes in the 400 Free Relay.  Final score the Boys:  Mauldin - 164, Boiling Springs - 122
