Maverick Wrestling team traveled to Charlotte, NC to participate in Holy Angels Invitational on January 6th & 7th, 2012. The final results were Charlie Cook placed 2nd at the 120 lb. weight class, Justin Wofford placed 2nd at the 170 lb. weight class, and Brandon Clarke placed 2nd at the 182 lb. weight class. Maverick Varsity Wrestlers rocked the gym at Mauldin High School on Wednesday January 4th, 2012 by defeating JL Mann 51 to 12. This brings to the team a 8-6 season record with a regions record of 1-0. Bring your faimly and friends and come out and support the wrestlers.

Brandon Clarke at the 182 lb. weight class and Steven Schultz at the 170 lb. weight class, both placed 1stt at the JV Tournament hosted at Dorman on December 19th, 2011.

Charlie Cook recieved the honors of being awarded MOW (Most Outstanding Wrestler) at the Knight Duals in Hendersonville NC on December 17, 2011.

     The Mavericks Varsity Wrestling team traveled to Travelers Rest High School last night to compete against Laurens High School and Greenwood High School. Although, the Mavs suffered a loss against Laurens, 45(L) to 34(M), the team made a strong comeback against Greenwood. The Mavericks dominated the mat against Greenwood ,winning 12 out of the 14 weight classes, to win the overall match with a team score of 67(M) to 12(G). The team is 2-2 for the season. Be sure to come out and support the wrestling team, the guys and the coaches are working hard. 

Congratulations go out to the Varsity Wrestling Team. They earned a 3rd place finish at the Silver Fox Invitational at Dutch Fork High School this past weekend.  Charlie Cook at 120 lbs. and Justin Wofford at 170 lbs.led the team with 1st place finishes. Brandon Clarke placed 3rd at 182 lbs., Brandon Ellis placed 4th at 113 lbs., and Johnathon Schultz placed 4th at 160 lbs.
