Mauldin boys XC beat Wade Hampton, Dorman and 17 other area schools tonight at the Canned Food 5k race at Heritage Park. Charlie Cook led the Mavs with a new best time on that course of 16:47! Noah LaBelle and Jeff Sinkele were right behind him in 6th and 7th places overall with times of 17:03 and 17:04.  Marc DeLisle was 9th overall with a 17:04 and Zach Girvin rounded out the top 5 scorers in 17th place with a 17:24.  Sawyer Willingham and Daniel Schlepphorst placed 19th and 33rd with times of 17:31 and 17:58 respectively. 

In the JV race the boys team placed 4th overall.  Teague Jennings, Zach Marion, and Ryan Smith led the Mavs JV team with 18:20, 18:35, and 18:47 respectively.

Clean out your cabinets and bring some canned food to the meet on Wednesday Night as the Mavs participate in the Canned Food Drive XC 5K at Heritage Park. This weeks meet will have a fun competitve twist as the teams will see who can bring the most canned food to benefit the Greenville Food bank.  Many of the schools from Greenville County will be there.  The Heritage Park course is another fast track that the runners enjoy.  Get to know it, we have four more races there later in October, including the Upper State Qualifier.

Due to the number of teams that have registered, they split the meet up into 4 races. Please remember that this is a canned food drive and they will have a trophy for the school with the most cans.
