Funeral Services for Mr. Walter Glenn Brackin will be held at First Baptist Church, Greenville (corner of Faris & Cleveland St). Visitation will be Monday, April 30th from 1:00 - 2:15. The funeral will follow at 2:30.

Boys team places 5th overall led by Noah LaBelle. LaBelle and Sinkele place in the top 20!! Noah places 18th overall with a 16:24 along with Junior Captain Jeff Sinkele in 19th place 16:24. Marc DeLisle places 27th place 16:46, Zach Girvin places 52nd 17:16, Daniel Schlepphorst 81st place 17:41, Ryan Smith 91st 17:48, and Sawyer Willingham struggles in with an injury 21:27.  The team time average of 16:54 is faster than the 2006 State team (17:08)  that placed 3rd at State!  Way to go, MAVS!

Boys Results   

They are going to STATE!! Congratulations to the following Varsity Cross Country runners that will be competing at the SC 4A State XC meet this Saturday at the Sandhills Research Park in Columbia - Noah LaBelle, Jeff Sinkele, Marc DeLisle, Zach Girvin, Sawyer Willingham, Daniel Schlepphorst, Ryan Smith, Zach Marion (alternate). Girls team Brittany Williams, Frazier Beane, Sarah Lynch, Lauren Bennett, Hannah Hetzel, Amy Berglind, Olivia Baddley, Sadie Smith (alternate). GOOD LUCK AT STATE!!

Boys XC results - Team places 3rd at Upper State. Noah LaBelle leads team with a new pr of 16:26, places top 5 overall! Jeff Sinkele makes the top 10 at Upper State with a 16:45! Marc DeLisle, Zach Girvin, Sawyer Willingham round out the top 5 scorers for MHS. Daniel Schlepphorst and Ryan Smith also competed on the Varsity team. The boys team will compete at the State meet next Saturday, November 5th at Sandhills Research Park, Columbia, SC.  Coach Howell will announce the state team later in the week.

The Boys XC team showed how really strong they are at the Greenville County Meet this past Saturday! With one of their top runners (Charlie Cook) out the boys still managed to come within 6 points of winning the County Championship. Wade Hampton took home the trophy with 54 points but the Mauldin Boys were right behind them with 60 points in 2nd place. Riverside was 3rd with 97 points. Noah LaBelle led the Mavs with a 3rd place finish 16:27 5k time at Heritage Park. Marc DeLisle 5th 16:33, Jeff Sinkele 9th 16:43, Zach Girvin 21st 17:11 and Sawyer Willingham 22nd 17:12 all scored for the team! The boys will compete at the Upper State Qualifier tomorrow at 12:05 at Heritage Park. Come on out and support your Mavs XC as they run to State!!

Coach Delmer Howell is named the Region II AAAA Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year tonight at the Region Championship!  Coach Howell's boys team WINS the Region Championship and three boys were named to All Region! The Mavs haven't seen this many All Region boys in a long time!  Congratulations to Marc DeLisle, Noah LaBelle and Jeff Sinkele on their All Region awards!

1) The meet originally scheduled for this Wednesday in Greenwood has been cancelled. 
 
2) The pasta pump-up this Friday at the LaBelles has been rescheduled due to Homecoming.
 
3)  Saturday’s meet is on the beautiful campus of Furman University – more details will be forthcoming.
 

Marc DeLisle led the Mavs XC team with an unofficial time of 16:33.  Mauldin boys had their highest team showing in years.  The Wendy's Invitational is a highly regarded race with several states competing!  More stories and results to come when official results are posted......

Mauldin boys XC beat Wade Hampton, Dorman and 17 other area schools tonight at the Canned Food 5k race at Heritage Park. Charlie Cook led the Mavs with a new best time on that course of 16:47! Noah LaBelle and Jeff Sinkele were right behind him in 6th and 7th places overall with times of 17:03 and 17:04.  Marc DeLisle was 9th overall with a 17:04 and Zach Girvin rounded out the top 5 scorers in 17th place with a 17:24.  Sawyer Willingham and Daniel Schlepphorst placed 19th and 33rd with times of 17:31 and 17:58 respectively. 

In the JV race the boys team placed 4th overall.  Teague Jennings, Zach Marion, and Ryan Smith led the Mavs JV team with 18:20, 18:35, and 18:47 respectively.

Please note that the Upper State Qualifier will be held at Heritage Park this year and not Dorman High School. This was decided by a vote of the AD's.  Please make a note of it on your calendars. 

Marc DeLisle lead the Mavs to victory on Wednesday night at Mauldin Middle School.  The boys beat out Riverside and Hillcrest 22, 39,77.  Charlie Cook, Jeff Sinkele, Sawyer Willingham, and Zach Girvin all scored for the varsity team.  Daniel Schlepphorst and Teague Jennings rounded out the top 7 MHS runners to cross the line.  The MMS home course was altered a little from previous years to account for the new buildings and fields around the track. Top 5 times were as follows - Marc DeLisle 17:21, Charlie Cook 17:22, Jeff Sinkele 17:52, Sawyer Willingham 17:57, and Zach Girvin 18:08. 

MHS Seniors had their last XC race on their home course! Way to go, Lauren Bennett, Megan McCullough, Sarah Stafford, Hannah Hetzel, Hayley Smith, Daniel Schlepphorst, Elisha Farley, Zachary Yordy, Samuel Berry!

This just in from Lake Murray XC invite - Mauldin Boys top 6 cross the finish line under 17:00! Top 6 set new personal bests!  Marc DeLisle leads the team with a smokin' fast time of 16:22! Fastest time by a MHS runner since Chad Holt ran in 2005 with a 15:52. Marc placed 5th overall in the race.  Charlie Cook was next with a 16:27 in 7th place.  Marc and Charlie's times place them on the scrunners.com National Elite list for this race!  Noah LaBelle was 9th overall with a 16:31.  Sawyer Willingham was 13th overall with a 16:43.  Jeff Sinkele was 15th overall with a 16:48.  Zach Girvin was 20th overall with a 16:55. Daniel Schlepphorst rounded out the top 7 varsity in 30 place with a 17:22.

The Varsity boys team took home the Championship Trophy beating out Wade Hampton and #2 4A ranked Dutch Fork!  Way to go, Mavs!

JV Boys placed 3rd!  Zach Marion leads the boys with a 17:58.  Also making the top 5 scorers for the team were Teague Jennings 18:03, Ryan Smith 18:15, Jacob Hood 18:33, and Jonah Moore 18:56.

Four Mauldin Varsity boys broke into the Dorman top 10 tonight on their home course.  Noah LaBelle led the Mavs on the tough Dorman course on a hot South Carolina evening.  Noah crossed the line in 2nd place (17:24) behind Dorman's #1 guy.  Charlie Cook was right behind him in 3rd place 17:25.  Marc DeLisle finished 5th 17:47 and Sawyer Willingham finished 6th 17:54.  Zach Girvin rounded out the top five in 12th place 18:08.  Also placing in the top 20 in the race were Jeff Sinkele in 13th place 18:26, Daniel Schlepphorst 16th place 18:37 and Teague Jennings 17th place 18:44.  Way to go, guys!

Varsity Boys XC rocked at the very competitive Coaches Classic, held on the state meet course. The boys team placed 7th overall! This is the highest showing for a MHS boys team at Coaches Classic since the 2005 team placed 5th led by Chad Holt, Alex Abercrombie, Jared Porter, Daniel Gomez, and Kevin Kulik. This is also the first time since 2005 that the boys team had 2 runners under 17:00 on the state meet course at this meet.

Marc DeLisle set a new pr of 16:46 and made the top 20 in the race! Charlie Cook set a new pr of 16:59 in 33rd place. Newcomer Noah LaBelle continues to have strong showings with a 17:08. SophomoreSawyer Willingham also had a strong showing with a 17:25 in 58th place. Captain Jeff Sinkele rounded out the top 5 scorers with a 17:39! Way to go, guys!

The Mauldin Boys XC team took first place even after losing their top two runners on the course.  Marc DeLisle and Charlie Cook had a clear lead on the entire pack of 84 varsity runners.  This was the first time Mauldin ran on the confusing Eastside course.  As the boys came out of the gate they were incorrectly directed to run up the hill leading them off course of the rest of the runners.  Riverside's Dan Castello was familiar with the course and instructed our next runner Noah LaBelle to go the right way. In what could have been a disaster for some runners, Marc and Charlie wasted no time trying to catch back up to the front pack.  Noah then led the boys and won the race overall! Sawyer Willingham advanced his way through the race to place 3rd overall.  Jeff Sinkele was right behind him in 4th place and Zach Girvin followed in 6th place.  Marc and Charlie made it in to the finish line in 8th and 10th places.  Daniel Schlepphorst rounded out the top 7 varsity runners placing 14th.  The boys team won the race with a low score of 22 points.  Riverside was 2nd place with 71 points.  The boys team will now prepare for the very competitive Coaches Classic to be held this weekend.  Way to go!!
