Lady Mavs vs. Dorman

Posted in Headlines by SandyLawson

After winning the tip-off, our Lady Mavericks faces a strong challenge.  The Dorman pressure defense included a double-team on our point guard #11 Caitland Considine leading to several turn-overs. However, Caitland managed to steal the ball back once and make a wonderful assisting pass to #25 Kentra Washington under that basket for an easy lay-up. Kentra was just beginning her quarter though, and showed some great speed and hustle along with a pair of baskets she had a rebound. #24 Dah’Vielle Lucas went 3 for 3 in the quarter. The first quarter ended 13 to 10 for Dorman.

Timeout Tuesdays, January 15th

Posted in Headlines by SandyLawson

"Timeout Tuesdays" is our new program, and a great opportunity to show community spirit as well as help raise funds for our athletic programs.
And the best thing about it is that we are not asking anybody to donate, buy coupons or ads.  We are inviting them to ~EAT!~

Our first Booster Night is already scheduled for January 8th, with recurring activities throughout the winter & spring.
The following restaurants  have agreed to giving us a portion of their profit for the night:

Tuesday Jan 8:  Zaxby's on Butler Rd,
Tuesday Jan 15: Ruby Tuesday on Woodruff Rd.  (Flyer Required)
Tuesday Feb 5:  Zaxby's on Butler Rd,
Tuesday Feb 12:  Ruby tuesday on Woodruff Rd.  (Flyer Required)
And it continues on into March!
We are still in negotiations with more eateries, so look for more at a later date!
All we have to do is get the word out.  Please forward to your team's parents, coaches and athletes.

Even though each individual sport does not participate year round, we need our families to participate in fundraisers throughout the school year.
With your help & desire to support the MHS athletics, we can reach hundreds of team families through email and word of mouth.
Please help us promote these events so the booster club can continue to support all sports throughout the year.
