Welcome to Mauldin's two new Varsity Coaches - Lee Taylor, Varsity Football and Nicole Hood, Varsity Girls Basketball. Coach Hood was an assistant at Dorman and used to play basketball for Westside High. And of course, everyone knows Coach Taylor!

3 MHS Baseball alumni drafted to Major Leagues!

Mauldin alumni baseball players were drafted to Major League Baseball in the 5th round! Joe Jackson (MHS '10) The Citadel standout player was drafted in the 5th round to the Texas Rangers. Mauldin's recent graduate and baseball standout Cory Thompson (MHS '13) was also drafted in the 5th round to the Cincinnati Reds. Congratulations!!!

Thompson and Jackson join other Mauldin alumni drafted into the major leagues!

Ansley Speaks Named All-American!

Mauldin Senior Ansley Speaks was selected as a National High School Tennis All-American. To be eligible the athlete must maintain an above average academic and citizenship record, compete on a high school tennis team, and garner an individual national ranking. Only the top 40 girls in the United States get this award. Wow, Congratulations, Ansley!

Chris Wallace (MHS '09) received his Combat Action Badge from the Joint Chief of Staffs General Dempsey! Chris is 13B (Field Artillery) PFC. PFC Wallace is currently serving our country overseas.

Laura Simon (MHS '09) receiving her ACC Post Grad scholarship award! Laura is graduating from Virginia Tech in May, 2013. Congratulations, Laura. Laura will attend the new University of South Carolina School of Medicine - Greenville in July.

Boys Track set new School Record at State!

Official meet results from day 1 - new Mauldin boys 4x800 record 8:03.45 and 6th place finish! Team members Marc DeLisleRyan Smith, Bracey Black, Zach MarionZachary Girvin,Hayden Baxter Ferrell. Boys 4x800 receives All State Honors!

Splits on the boys 4x800 from Coach - Marc DeLisle 2:01.28, Ryan Smith 2:02.31, Bracey Black 2:02.30, and Hayden Fast feet Ferrell closed with a 1:57!!! This was a very fast race 1st place Spring Valley broke state record to win in 7:45!! Way to step up to the line boys!!!

Did you know that three years ago at the Mauldin meet, Joseph Berry's season best mark in the pole vault was 8'6?? 3 years of hard work and dedication to his sport resulted in the NEW SCHOOL RECORD!!! 4/12/10 8-6 Joseph Berry. 4/9/13 14-10 Joseph Berry!

Mauldin senior baseball player Cory Thompson has a fastball of 94 mph. Cory has signed to play ball at the University of South Carolina in the Fall. Recent reports state that Cory is being scouted by professional baseball! Reminds me of another young pitcher from Mauldin High - Madison Younginer who signed with the Boston Red Sox in 2009.

Boys Lax Win over Dorman!

The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team beat Dorman Tues., March 19th 5-2 at home.  Steven Adams led the offense with 2 goals and 2 assists, while CJ Asmus had 2 goals and 1 assist and Braxton Bassie had 1 goal and an assist.  Sean Douglas shook up the defense with 5 take aways with help from JT Adams with 4 take aways and 3 from Marinos Botros.  Andrew Haudricourt protected his goal with 9 saves.  Go Mavs!!
