Mavs Jv and Varsity both lose against Spartanburg on Friday night.  See you Saturday at Mauldin High for a 6:00 PM start against Byrnes High School.

Update:  Mavs JV will play Spartanburg JV before the Varsity game at Duncan Park in Spartanburg.  Action begins @ 5:00pm.  See your there.

 


 

Mavs lose to Boiling Springs 5-6.  Junior Phil Alexander did hit a solo homerun in the game.  Next game at Spartanburg (Duncan Park) on Friday @ 6:00 PM.   Also, the updated schedule is posted. 

The Byrnes Makeup game will be on Saturday, April 12 @ 6:00PM at Mauldin and the Hillcrest game will be held Friday April 18 following the JV game which starts at 5:00 PM.  Note Mauldin will play Hillcrest at Hillcrest on April 17.

The Saturday game (April 5th) against Hillcrest has been cancelled and has not been rescheduled yet.  The CCD games scheduled for April 5th have also been cancelled.

 

Mavs won an exciting game against Dorman last night at Dorman.  The final score was 12-11.  Some exciting highlights include a base clearing double by senior Cory Bishop, a grand slam HR by Junior Madison Younginer, and 4 hits by senior Brad Huffling.  Pitching for the Mavs last night was Madison Younginer and Chris Cox.  

 

Mavs Varsity was in action on Thursday and Friday night losing to Byrnes 3-4 and Gaffney 4-7.  Hitting Homeruns for the Mavs was Ben Carlson (against Byrnes), and Robert Hardaway and Kevin Loucks against Gaffney. Mavs will be off over Spring Break and return to action on April 1 at 7:00pm against Dorman.

 


 

Varsity Mavs were in action again on Thursday night at Byrnes High School, and dropped the game 4 to 3. On the mound for the Mavs was Chris Cox, who went 4+ innings, and gave up 1 run. The Mavs are in action again on Friday at Gaffney with game time at 6:00.

 

Varsity Mavs won on Tuesday night at home, against Spartanburg, 11-0. On the mound for the Mavs was Philip Alexander, who threw a complete game shut-out. Among the leading performers were Cory Bishop (2-2, 5 RBI) and Madison Younginer with another home run. Great job Mavs! The next game is Thursday night at Byrnes at 6:00. 

 

JV Mavs won over Spartanburg High School 10-3 on Monday night 3/17.  Hudson, Rosamond, and Chamberlain saw time on the mound in this victory.

 

Mavs lost in their Region opener 13-12 in the bottom of the 7th in a heartbreaker to Boiling Springs.  After trailing the majority of the game; the Mavs tied up the game in the top of the 7th only to lose in the bottom of the 7th with a walk off homerun.  It was an excellent, well played, and hard fought battle.  Seeing time on the mound was Chris Cox, Kyle Logan, Todd Gray, and Madison Younginer.

Congratulations JV MAVS

JV faced Hillcrest on Monday as they opened their 2008 season.  A good showing; they defeated Hillcrest 5-2 as Parker Hudson, Trent Rosamond, and Adam Charmberlain shared duties on the mound.

 Mavs won 2 against Eastside high Wednesday night.  The final scores are 5-1 ans 3-2.  On the mound was Ben Carlson and Todd Gray.  Coming through in a big  way was Brad Huffling with a triple in the 4th dring in 2 runs to go ahead.  Mavs play at Boiling Springs Friday night at 6:00pm.
