Information for Girls Tennis 2010
 
Tryouts at the MHS tennis courts:
         
Monday August 2 – Friday August 6               8:00AM – 12:00 PM
 
THESE DATES/TIMES ARE MANDATORY
MAKE PLANS NOW TO BE THERE EVERYDAY ALL MORNING! CHANGE WORK SCHEDULES AND DON’T PLAN VACATIONS IF YOU WANT TO PLAY ON THE MHS TENNIS TEAM!!!
 
In order to try out you must have ALL paperwork turned in. You cannot play without ALL your paper work:
 
 1) Physical – can get it done from now through the summer
 2) Greenville Hospital Consent Form
 3) Extra Curricular Responsibility Acknowledgement
 4) $36 for insurance (It could change, we have not heard yet)
 5) My info sheet
 6) Birth Certificate (only if you haven’t played a sport at MHS before)
 
1 – 3 are on the MHS website. Go to athletics and you will see the links for the three forms. Print them off and fill them out.

Lady Mavs Scheduled for Two Matches this Week!

Come out and support the Lady Mavs JV Tennis Team,  On Monday, September 21st the Lady Mavs will play Riverside at home. Thursday, the team takes on Southside Christian at home.  All matches begin at 4:30.   Go Lady Mavs

      

 

Mavs Cruise Past Cavs

The JV tennis team moved to 4-0 with a victory over Dorman Thursday night.  Once again the team had Bus problems but when the Mauldin ladies finally got to Dorman they had little trouble in winning all 5 singles and #2 doubles. #1 doubles was not played due to time constraints.  Afterwards the Lady Mavs celebrated their victory with a trip to the Beacon Diner for some "Burgers A-Plenty".

 

Lady Mavs Roll Past the Red Raiders

The JV tennis team racked up another victory downing Greenville 6-1 in a tightly contested match Wednesday night.  Carly Wilson and Vanessa Jost got the Mavs off two a quick 2-0 lead with wins at #1 and #2 singles.  Madison Tracey and Kaylee Huyck then managed to seal the match with two clutch 3rd set tie break victories at #3 and #5 singles.  Wilson and Jost and continued their #1 doubles domination and Ashton Mahaffey and Emily Johnson finished things up with a win at #2 doubles.

 

Lady Mavs March Past Mann 

The JV tennis team continued their hot start with a win over JL Mann.  The Lady Mavs won 3 of the 5 singles matches and swept both doubles in posting the 5 -2 victory Wednesday night at Mauldin High School.

 

 

 

Lady Mavs Sweep Southside Christian 

The JV tennis team got off to a great start as they downed Southside Christian in an impressive fashion winning all 7 matches convincingly.  Apparently the only problem the Lady Mavs encountered Wednesday night was getting back home as the bus broke down yet again!!!

 

 

 

 

 

Lady Mavs to Kick Off Their Season this Week!

Come out and support the Lady Mavs Tennis Team as they offically start their season this week with matches against Southside Christian and JL Mann.  The Lady Mavs will take on Southside Christian on Wednesday, September 2, at 5pm  at Tryon Park (226 Oakland Avenue, Greer, SC).  They will face JL Mann on Wednesday, September 3, at 5pm at home.  Go Lady Mavs!
