JV Mavs Fall to Boiling Springs
The Lady Mavs fell to Boiling Springs 22-25, 23-25 on Thursday, October 15th at Mauldin. The team had six ace serves and were led by Amy Bruchon in serving. As a team the Lady Mavs had 15 kills with Chelsey Scott, Destiny Garrett and Sammy Hauser contributing. Dominique Garrett had a solo block and Emily Cooper led the team in digs. The JV Lady Mavs take on Byrnes at Byrnes on Tuesday, October 20th and end their season will Hillcrest at home on Thursday, October 22nd. Come support your Lady Mavs!!
JV Mavs Defeat Spartanburg
The JV Lady Mavs defeated Spartanburg 25-10, 25-18 in Spartanburg on Tuesday, October 13th. The Mavs had 17 kills and seven aces in the win on Tuesday. Contributing in the serving department were Amy Bruchon, Chelsey Scott, Emily Cooper, Hayley Davis, Courtney Davis, Sammy Hauser, Dominique Garrett and Lexi Brownlee. The Mavs take on Boiling Springs on Thursday, October 15th at home. Come support your Lady Mavs!!!
Lady Mavs Host a Tri-Match
The JV Lady Mavs defeated Broome 25-9 and 25-21 in their first game of the tri-match on Monday, October 12th. The Mavs had 20 kills as a team and Amy Bruchon had nine aces to lead the team in serving.
In the second match the Mavs lost a heartbreaker, 22-25, 25-14, 13-15 to St. Joseph's. The team had 12 aces, 14 kills and two blocks in the match.
The Lady Mavs Lose to Dorman in Two
The Mavs lost to Dorman (17-25, 14-25) on Thursday, October 8th at Dorman. The JV Lady Mavs played strong defense against a strong Dorman team. Dominique Garrett had two solo blocks, Emily Cooper led the team in digs and kills and Amy Buchon, Hayley Davis and Amanda Young each had an ace serve in the game. The Mavs play host to both Broome and St. Joseph's in a tri-match on Monday, October 12th.

Mauldin Mavs lose to Hillcrest in Three
The Lady JV Mavs lose a heartbreaker to Hillcrest on Tuesday night at Hillcrest High. The Mavs were down 17-3 in the first game and fought their way back, with Sammy Hauser serving nine in a row. The Mavs fell short and lost the first game 17-25. The girls came out strong in the second game and leading the team in kills were Emily Cooper and Chelsey Scott. Dominique Garret had a solo block and the Mavs won the second game 25-17. The Mavs fell short again in the third game losing 9-15. The team had six serving aces with contributions by Amy Bruchon, Chelsey Scott, Emily Cooper, Hayley Davis, Courtney Davis, Sammy Hauser and Amanda Young. The Lady JV Mavs take on Dorman at Dorman on Thursday, October 8th. Go Lady Mavs!!
Mauldin JV Mavs defeat Byrnes in Three
The JV Lady Mavs were victorious against Byrnes 21-25, 25-13, 15-11. After losing in the first game, the Lady Mavs pulled themselves together and worked as a team to win the second and third game. The team was led by Hayley Davis who served seven serves in a row and had two aces in the second game. Courtney Davis and Emily Cooper led the team in kills with four each. Dominique Garrett and Chelsey Scott had three kills, Sammy Hauser had two kills and Amy Bruchon and Destiny Garrett each had one kill. Amanda Young and Lexi Brown contributed as well with serves and digs. Come watch the JV Lady Mavs take on rival Hillcrest on Tuesday, October 6th at 5:15 at Hillcrest!!

The Mavs had eight aces and were led by Chelsey Scott with four, Hayley Davis with three and Amy Bruchon with one. Chelsey Scott also had five kills and Dominique Garrett had three. The team had a total of 17 kills. Dominique had two solo blocks and Emily Cooper led the team in digs. The Mavs take on Byrnes at home on Thursday, October 1st at 5:15. Chelsey Scott led the team in kills (team had 17 overall) and Dominique Garrett posted two solo blocks. The Lady Mavs go on the road to play Boiling Springs on Tuesday, September 29th and will home again on Thursday, October 1st against Byrnes. Game time is 5:15. Come and support your Lady Mavs!!!!
The JV Lady Mavs lost to Dorman in two (13-25, 11-25). In the first game the Mavs only missed 1 serve. Emily Cooper led the team in digs and Chelsey Scott in kills. The second game the team fell due to lack of communication on the court. The Lady Mavs take on Spartanburg at home on Thursday night.
Tuesday, September 15th
The JV Lady Mavs participated in the Dorman Tournament on Saturday, September 5th. The Mavs defeated Landrum in their opener 25-20 and 25-15. Hayley Davis had four aces and Emily Cooper led the team in digs and back row kills.
Game 2- The Lady Mavs lost to Dorman 10-25 16-25. Dominique Garret had two kills and Emily Cooper led the team in digs.
Game 3- The Lady Mavs took on crosstown rival Hillcrest and gave them a run for their money. The Mavs lost 21-25 and 24-26. The team played hard and had great enthusiasm! Chelsey Scott led the team in kills.
Game 4- The Mavs made it into the Silver bracket and played Lugoff Elgin, but lost 22-25 and 21-25 finishing seventh out of the twelve teams in the tournament.

The JV Lady Mavs played hard and are ready to push ahead and work hard to get ready for the upcoming region matches!! The Mavs will play Daniel at Daniel on Monday, September 14th and will return home on Tuesday, Sept. 15th to play Greenville High.

The JV Lady Mavs were victorious Thursday night at Greenville High School and won in two games 25-8 and 25-18. In the first game, the Lady Mavs were led by Amy Bruchon with 12 serves and Dominique Garrett with a solo block. The team had 10 aces as well.
In the second game, Hayley Davis had three aces, her sister Courtney had three kills and Chelsey Scott had five kills. Way to go Lady Mavs!!
The JV Lady Mavs will participate in a tournament on Saturday, September 5th at Dorman High School and will take on Daniel High at Daniel on September 14th.
In the second match the Lady Mavs beat Eastside Eagles two games to one ( 25-18, 23-25, 15-9). Dominique Garrett had a solo block as well as a block with her sister Destiny. Hayley Davis had a four point serving streak and Chelsey Scott led the Mavs in kills.
The JV Lady Mavs will take on Greenville High this Thursday at 5:15 at Greenville. The Mavs will return home on Tuesday, September 15th against Greenville.
