_______________________________________________________________The Mauldin C-team lost their first football game to J.L. Mann yesterday, 21-14. Down 21 to 0 at the half, the Mavericks scored two touchdowns and were driving for a third when time expired.
Leading the Mavericks on offense were: Cory Thompson, who led the Mavs to a near comeback and ran in a 2-point conversion; Kevin Nash, who threw touchdown pass and rushed for a touchdown, and Tre Chappelle, who caught a deep pass for a score.
The defense kept the Mavs in contention with five total turnovers, four of which were interceptions.
The C-team returns to action on Wednesday against T.L. Hanna. Come out and show your support!
