Congratulations to Senior Mauldin Wrestler Matt Courter - 2010 Greenville County Champion in the 135 lb weight class! Congratulations also to Thomas Stroud won 3rd at 103 lbs.; Charlie Cook won 2nd at 112 lbs.; Kyle Connors won 4th at 140 lbs.; Chase Barbrey won 6th at 171 lbs.; Jamil McKenzie won 6th at 285 lbs. Way to go, guys!

Congratulations to Matt Courter for winning 1st place at the Hillcrest Wrestling Tournament this past weekend at 135 lbs., Thomas Stroud for winning 3rd place at 103 lbs., and Kyle Green for winning 3rd place at 119 lbs.
Mavs' Wrestlers Pick Up Wins
The Mauldin wrestling team picked up a couple of wins last week and three wrestlers placed at the recent Ram Invitational at Hillcrest High School.
Last week, the Mavs defeated Easley 52 to 30 and picked up the win against J.L. Mann by a score of 42 to 36.
Over the weekend, three wrestlers placed in the top three at the Ram Invitational. Congratulations goes out to Matt Courter, who placed 1st in the 135 pound weight class; Thomas Stroud, who placed 3rd in the 103 pound weight class; and Kyle Green, who placed 3rd in the 119 pound weight class.
The wrestling team resumes action on Wednesday at Greenwood and then are hosting the Maverick Dual tournament on Saturday here at Mauldin High School.

Congratulations to Matt Courter, who won 3rd place at the Southern Slam at Eastside this past weekend and Thomas Stroud for placing 5th. There were 32 teams at this tournament. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!! Great job to the whole team!!!
The Mauldin wrestling team recently competed at Riverside High School in a preseason tournament. Congratulations goes out to the following wrestlers for winning all of their matches: Thomas Stroud, Matt Courter, Travis Heidelberger, Addison Morrill, and Bobby Olvera. A special congratulations goes out to Matt Courter for winning the Most Outstanding Wrestler award.
